Sangamam II opened with a joint Pushpanjali, a traditional piece from the Kuchipudi repertoire in which both dancers adhered to their respective styles of presentation.

Ranjani Mala came next as a tribute to the brilliance of Devi with each dancer outdoing the other in the graceful depiction of the all-powerful Shakti.

Vidhya was in her element as she performed a solo Varnam - E Mayaladira - a classic in which the heroine accuses Lord Achyuta of being swerved by the devious words of another enchantress.

Next came a beautifully rendered Annamacharya song "Emoko" by Jyothi reaching the heights of Madhura Bhakti.

The tarangam is a traditional piece unique to the Kuchipudi repertoire. In this performance, both dancers enjoyed the secrets of this piece by juxtaposing the movements. The Kuchipudi style saw Jyothi perform intricate footwork on a brass plate while the Bharatanatyam style saw Vidhya perform the same footwork on the ground.

An ashtapadi, "Sa Virahe" was performed as a solo by Vidhya in which she depicted the pangs of Radha through the message of the sakhi.

Tillana in Nalinakanti ragam, a composition of Lalgudi Jayaraman was a thrilling culmination to this enjoyable jugalbandi.
